Having experienced many delays in my journey of life, kudos to Frank Redman for persevering in spite of overwhelming odds and getting Elijah to print. Though a difficult subject, this is a story that needed to be told. It's no wonder Dean Koontz took this author under his wings. Elijah is Odd Thomas' understudy who just got his chance to take center stage. Great start for a first time author.Product details

Elijah by Frank Redman is well-written, suspenseful, and has a great story line. It is one of the best books I've read in a long while. Mr. Redman is a wonderful storyteller and has a way of drawing the reader into the story from the beginning. I suggest you grab a cup of coffee and get settled into your favorite reading chair before starting the book. You won't want to put it down until the end. I highly recommend Elijah by Frank Redman
This was a genre I do not normally have an interest in. The topic of child abuse caught my eye. Elijah had me sucked in and glued from the first page. I read 80% in one reading until I fell asleep. What a powerful message has been conveyed. For the love of a great story, fast paced, action thriller , suspense, a bit of romance with a handful of LOL moments DO NOT MISS THIS READ!!!!! This author will be on my "favorite author watch" list. I'm looking forward to more of his work in the future. Good health and God bless, Mr. Redman.
A young man, severely abused as a child. A chance for redeeming lives of other children. Made for an engrossing read. This was my first book of Frank Redman's but it won't be my last. Believable characters and an interesting plot.
I devoured Elijah's story. Once I started reading it I didn't put it down until I was finished and then I wanted to read it all over again. Frank Redman has a descriptive way of writing that makes you feel as if you're part of the story. He also adds some levity in the middle of a tense and suspenseful situation that at times made me laugh out loud. The back story is grim and right out of yesterday's and today's news but is necessary to be heard again and again. Elijah is a gem of a book! Read it yourself and see....
This book is surprising, engaging and a mind boggling adventure into places you won't expect. Or wish to go if you are the main character, Elijah. But go he does, as he ends up with no real choice. Facing one scary challenge after another, Elijah must confront his own demons as he discovers even more demonic and evil characters that are making the lives of innocents even more devastating than what Elijah's has already been. Will this stop him from facing his past? Will this keep him from helping others?
This book has a way of capturing the reader's attention and keeping it engaged from start to finish. Although the subject matter can be difficult to read, we all realize the world is full of evil and its realities. Do we turn away and pretend it isn't happening, or do we, like Elijah, persist in going forth and finding how we can help? Read it and discover whether or not you can face the challenges Elijah does.
For a first time novel, the author has taken us where none of us have probably gone before. It is an engaging as well as eye opening who-done-it and why story, thankfully written with humor and imagination, keeping the subject lighter than one might expect. The main subject, yet a dark one, is happening in our world. Kudos to Frank Redman for having the courage to bring it more to light so those who are complacent about the subject will hopefully step up and do something to stop this from happening some day, sooner rather than later.
Packed with action, this book is like trying to drive the Rocky Mountains without brakes. Elijah Raven finds himself in one predicament after another accompanied by an array of likable characters including a dog and a cat. The subject matter is somber, and there are some heart wrenching moments, but the book also has humor and gives hope that things will get better.
I've 've been hanging on to this book for while...no idea why except maybe I didn't want to be disappointed. Well, that was not a problem. I read this book in two sittings. Elijah is a young man ho survived a terrible (and I do mean Terrible childhood). He is 22 and is just trying to lay low in his IT job. The problem is that animals communicate with him...disturbing things that he must act on...after all, he is a good guy. The evil in this book is the world of child abuse, sex-trafficking, murder, and all things bad. Redman wrote this so real that I had to put the book down and wander around for a bit...you know, watch an episode or two of Criminal Minds to lighten things up. I do love books like this where good is good and bad is, well, truly evil and easily recognizable. Redman's style reminded at times of Jonathon Kellerman and Dean Koontz in that in the midst of awful things, a line will stand out and make me laugh. Tears came flowing at times as well. I don't think Elijah is finished with his work and am looking forward to more. I loved Elijah---the book and the character.
